The Essence Of Love, For Try Stampin' On Tuesday

Hello There, Stamping Friends!

Today's card is my first Vanentine'ish' card this year and I decided to use the lovely Stampin' Up! single stamp called Love Is Kindness.  When I first saw this stamp in the Occasions Catalog, I fell in love.  It was right up my alley and just my speed.  ;)  And, when I saw the sketch for the Try Stampin' On Tuesday
sketch challenge, I reached for this perfect stamp.

Here is the sketch for this week's challenge:

To create the diagonal panel on my card front, I cut 1/2" strips of dsp from the new paper pack called Stacked With Love.  It is so much fun to use!  Look at all of those graphic designs.  Love.  Love.

I cut a second newspaper wrap and popped it up with dimensionals.  Have I told you lately that I'm in love with dimension?

A white  Tea Lace Doily, a strip of Real Red 1/4" Cotton Ribbon, tulips colored with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities, and a sparkly touch of bling with the Something Borrowed embellishments, completed the head to toe "look" for me.  I hope you enjoy it as well.

If you happen to be searching for a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to help you with your stamping needs.  Please feel free to use the "shop" button on the right side of my blog.

Happy Stamping,
barb

A Joyful Heart

Hello Stamping Friends,

Today I come today bearing a card that speaks the truth for me.  A joyful heart is good medicine.  Proverbs 17:22

Sometimes life seems to simply be hard.  Whether is a crummy case of the flu, or a cold in the winter or something much more serious, everyone needs joy and cheer in their lives.  When a friend is down, this simple truth, sent on a handmade card, could lift spirits and bring joy.
Consider it.  A simple act of kindness could change someone's entire day...

Now, on to all the details for this quick and easy card.  :-)

I made my card for the Paper Pal Arts sketch challenge this week and also the Create With Connie and Mary color challenge I also submitted my card to the Paper Players sentiment challenge!
For the focal image, I used the new photopolymer stamp set, Banner Blessings  and the designer paper from the Confetti Celebration.

I hope you enjoy it!

"Amazing Day" for Try Stampin On Tuesday

Hello Stamping Friends,
I have a new card for you today highlighting sketch challenge #201 from Try Stamping On Tuesday.  There are wonderful designs from the team for your stamping inspiration and I encourage you to go take a peek....and even submit a card using the latest sketch!  Above all, have fun.  ;-)

For my card this week I used the Amazing Birthday stamp set.  I've seen lots of really neat cards made with this set and wanted to ink it up just for this sketch challenge.  I also used the brand new Birthday Bash dsp which is one of my favorite items in the Occasions Catalog.

Of course, I couldn't resist make a coordinating envelope for this special card.  It will go to my ridiculously amazing daughter-in-law for her birthday at the end of this month. :-)

I hope you take some time this week to play in your crafting space and "Try Stampin' On Tuesday!"

Enjoy!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello Stamping Friends!
I'm finally back with a new One Stop, Blog Hop and ready to share several new cards that really caught my eye from around the blogosphere.  Most of these cards I would classify as fairly quick and easy, but sometimes a card might need just a little more time to make it all you want it to be.  ;-)  I hope you enjoy these talented paper crafter's designs as much as I did this week!
Enjoy!
Friendship? Yes, Please
Hello Stamping Friends,
Here today with a card based on the sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday.  Julee Tilman is the owner of Mojo Monday blog and is going into her 5th year of beautiful sketches for card makers.
Go check it out when you have a second.  :-)
For my card I've used the soon to be released Best Year Ever
designer series paper from the 2015 Sale-A-Bration Catalog
 (I can't wait for you all to see the goodies that you can choose for FREE with a $50.00 purchase.  Lots of cute, cute stuff going on in this catty!)  And the From My Heart stamp set. I stamped the image and fussy cut both the circle and the extra friendship banner.  Hope you enjoy!
Happy New Year!
Hello Stamping Friends,
     Well, it's been an incredibly busy holiday season over the past couple of months which has kept me from regularly posting here on the Quick and Easy Blog, but this is a new year and I'm back for what I hope will be more frequent posts.  ;)
The card I'm sharing with you today was posted on the Try Stamping On Tuesday Blog last week, right before Christmas.  The theme was "friend" (I was thinking of every one of my wonderful friends as I made this card) and I think the sketch was meant to be a holiday card, but I guess that slipped right on past me because I used brand new products from the soon-to-be-released Occasions Catalog
 It's filled with super fun and pretty paper crafting goodies that you'll want to get your hands on, I promise.
So, here's my card:
This sketch was a real challenge for me this time and I'm so happy that I pressed on and found the inspiration to create my "friend" card.  I absolutely LOVE the color combo found in the upcoming designer paper, Birthday Bash.
and the sketch:
 So, I hope you will take a trip over to Try Stamping On Tuesday and play along with the wonderful designers and sketches that are coming in 2015!
Happy Stamping and Happy New Year!
